The Concept of Raphael
It all began with a tender supposition: if the embrace of divinity took tangible form, how might it dwell in our mortal world? Thus, the outer shell is imbued with the core theme of “embrace and containment”. Drawing inspiration from Raphael’s The Gentle Embrace of the Divine, this design features a casing crafted with soft curved surfaces and restrained wing silhouettes to embody shelter and acceptance. Feathers unfurl gently from the shell’s crevices—an echo of divine benevolence made flesh, like fragile fledgling tendril s emerging from a cracked eggshell. Tubing weaves all around, forming veins of affection akin to an umbilical cord. As subtle structural support, they cradle this shelter and new life for all time.
